Rainbow Street

Rainbow Street in Amman is essentially a cluster of numerous shops, galleries, restaurants, pubs, cafes, tea houses, and hookah bars. This street is the equivalent of the Western style high street and definitely worth visiting while you are in Amman. People come here to take relaxed, leisurely walks and to meet others. There are some places here where one can just sit and watch others passing by and absorb the lively environment of the area. Rainbow Street is a place where one could go out with friends to enjoy a nice Turkish coffee at any one of the many cafes there.
This very cool and interesting street stays busy through the day but metamorphoses into an absolutely vivid and lively place as the night approaches. Activity can literally be seen all over the street. Musicians playing the guitar on the roadside is a common sight here.Sometimes you may also be lucky to catch a live performance in the street. The atmosphere is extremely friendly. Although it is a multi cultural place where people from different backgrounds come to visit, one does not get a touristy kind of a feeling at all. Everything and everyone seems to gel into one whole entity here.

Go to Rainbow Street to grab a coffee. There is so much to see, do, and eat here that you will not get bored for even a minute. We specially liked the Duinde Art Gallery cafe where we enjoyed some snacks and coffee.
