Promthep Cape

Sitting on top of a giant cliff, watching the sun retire into the ocean is the perfect end to a day. Make a trip down to Promthep Cape to catch the sunset and to just sit and enjoy the silence. Every evening, large tour buses, scooters and private cars sweep through Rawai Beach and make their way up the island’s southernmost hill in order to watch the sunset at its peak. Promthep Cape forms the southernmost point of Phuket island and is an absolutely irresistible spot for a good old-fashioned sunset photo. If you are touring the south of Phuket, you could also visit the Rawai beach or the Naiharn beach—both being fairly close to the sunset point. Visitors are also spoilt for choice thanks to the area’s numerous restaurants, with the Promthep Restaurant being the best bet for seafood.
