This trek takes you from the Bhaba Valley to Pin Valley through Bhaba Pass at an altitude of 4890 m. The trek starts from Kafnu, which is a quaint village resting at an altitude of 2350 m and situated at a distance of about 200 km from Shimla. The amazingly scenic row of pine trees on either side of Bhaba Valley replenished by the perennial Bhaba River with sheep grazing nonchalantly on the meadows create a blissful environment that seeps into the mind and heart and remains buoyant forever. The array of stars in the night sky accompanying the Milky Way almost transcends the barriers of space and time. The trek goes through quite a few number of river crossings along the way which test the mettle of trekkers from time to time. The inclement weather at the top does create a lot of flutter and apprehensions but also generate a lot of excitement for the grand crossing of Bhaba pass at an altitude of 4895 m into the pin valley. Pin Valley is the gateway to Spiti region and carries a diametrically opposite landscape with respect to the Bhaba Valley. The gravel path with stones and boulders reminds the trekkers of the harsh conditions of a cold desert as the trek finally ends in Mudh, a village of forty odd families. The district headquarters of Spiti Valley i.e. Kaza is only one and a half hour drive away from Mudh.
