Julehuset - Christmas Shop

Scandinavia, the land of ice, snow and reindeer, is unquestionably as close to the Christmas as one can get. In fact, many of the Christmas traditions which are followed worldwide have their roots in Scandinavia itself. If you are in Bergen to celebrate Christmas, then head to the Julehuset to buy yourself some beautiful decorations. If you are in the town during any other time of the year, then also you must visit this shop to feel the Norwegian Christmas spirit. It’s also one of the loveliest gift shops in Bergen.
Julehuset is a typical cute Norwegian shop which is quaint and crooked. It’s an old wooden building located in Bryggen Wharf area with three floors. The upper floors can be accessed by a slanting staircase, which is little scary, but climbing them up is worth because of the extensive Christmas collections on those floors. Please don’t expect the items to be cheaper because Norway is overall an expensive place and, on the top of that, this shop experiences heavy footfall.
