We are big believers of starting the new year with something amazing and exciting. We believe that this will lead to a year filled with loads of fun and adventure. And travel is that one thing that always teaches us new things.

As they say, always start your year with a bang, we suggest you start your year with some culture. So for this coming new year, especially for the month of January, we have a list of cool festivals you can travel for.
Rann Utsav in Gujarat
The Great Rann of Kutch is the place for you. Experience the vibrant culture of Kutch at this festival which will go on till February 28, 2023. White salt desert, colourful culture and heritage of Kutch, great food and full moon nights! What are you waiting for?
Makar Sankranti, Gujarat
You need to be in Ahmedabad for this. Ahmedabad celebrates Makar Sankranti like no other. It is also known as the Kite Flying festival. Be at the Sabarmati River Front (January 14-15) to experience this festival in the grandest way. From kite making workshops to kite flying, it’s an experience you will never forget.
Bikaner Camel Festival, Rajasthan
During this festival, the city of Bikaner comes to life and how! The Bikaner Camel Festival (January 11-12) will let you see camels in some of the most colourful attires, racing and just being awesome. Folk artists and fire shows are also a big part of the festival.
Pongal, Tamil Nadu
You want to be in Tamil Nadu for this festival (January 15-18). The harvest festival is celebrated in a very big way with a lot of dancing, get-togethers, and loads of delicious food.
Kenduli Mela, West Bengal
Kenduli village in Bolpur in Birbhum district comes to life with several folk artists presenting their best at Kenduli Mela (January 14). The Baul musicians playing their ektara (musical instrument) is something you should experience at least once in your lifetime.
Magh Bihu, Assam
Looking for a reason to travel to the beautiful and culturally rich state of Assam? Look no further because Magh Bihu is coming soon (January 15). Also known as Bhogali Bihu, the festival marks the end of winter. The ceremonial burning of meiji, a structure made of wood and leaves, is always followed by a grand feast and cultural shows.
