A well-kept secret, birdwatching in Diu is hours of solitary bliss. Fudam Bird Sanctuary is home to flamingoes, western reef egrets, spoonbills and a host of migratory birds. Diu also houses a bird watching tower and a lake near the Hare Krishna Mandir, both the places are frequented by ornithologists. A number of trails near the temple lead to dense groves, an area that sees as many as 200 bird species. You will find just a few people on these trails, making it an all the more interesting experience.
