If you think you have seen all that luxury travel has to offer, then think again, as a luxury hotel in space could be a reality soon. An exotic hotel built by a private company, Orion Span is set to create a new benchmark in luxury tourism. The luxury hotel in space should be operating by 2022, and space enthusiasts are excited to bits. The space hotel named Aurora Station will be launched in a low-earth orbit at an altitude of 322 km, while the International Space Station is at an altitude of 408 km. Orion Span’s statement suggests that the spacecraft will have most number of windows, and four guests can stay in the hotel at a time, along with a 2-member crew. There will be two suites for guests, so two people can stay in each suite. There will be a 3-month training programme to prepare for space, and the entire space experience will take 12 days.

Of course a luxury hotel in space is not going to come easy, so yes, you will have to pay quite a lot of money for your stay. The Orion Span’s 12-day trip to space and stay at the Aurora Station will cost you $9.5 million per person. The company Orion Span is pretty confident that there will be a demand for the space stay.
