For travellers seeking soul fulfilment, the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has come up with the ideal package called ‘Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train’ in order to give high quality, hassle-free travel experience to its domestic and overseas passengers.
As the name suggests, the special package is meant to link major Buddhist tourist places of worship, religious centres and cultural centres in India as well as Nepal to New Delhi via trains. The entire trip will be of 8 days’ duration.

According to news reports, Buddhist circuit tourist train package would include hotel stay, food, AC road transport to places of interest, a trip to Agra’s Taj Mahal on the last day, Nepal visa access facility at Lumbini and an overall travel insurance.
The package will have tourists visit sites like Gorakhpur, Nalanda, Rajgir, Varanasi, Sarnath and return to New Delhi on the 8th day of the trip.

The price for the 8-day-long trip is INR 75,075, which would cover hotel stay in Delhi both before departing for the tour and returning back to the national capital, and visa fee while visiting Nepal for Lumbini and Mayadevi Temple tour.
