With the opening of Pakyong Airport, which lies at a distance of 33 km from Gangtok, your journey to Sikkim by air will be a comfy one. There are private airlines available that operate flights between these regions. Plan early so that you can grab deals and book tickets at reasonable prices. Once your flight lands at Pakyong Airport, you can take a private or shared taxi to reach Gangtok.

Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, is well-connected with its neighbouring cities, so travelling to Sikkim via road will be devoid of any hassle. You just need to look in the right place. There are regular buses plying on this Delhi-Sikkim route, run by the Sikkim Nationalised Transport. Further, you can also take jeeps and taxis for intra and interstate travelling.
