Good news for the followers of the cult television series, Game of Thrones! With winter nearing its end and the fans getting extremely sad, the Castle Ward in Ireland has decided to host a one-day long GoT festival on September 24 and cheer up some gloomy souls. In the series, Castle Ward is the ancestral home of the Starks, and now fans have the perfect opportunity to live their dreams for a day. The super famous HBO series is acclaimed for its remarkable backdrops, for it is mostly filmed in castles and ruins of Northern Ireland.

The best (and super-impressive) things are the special guests of the occasion; yes, it will be the two direwolf dogs belonging to the Stark kids. Another notable feature of the event will be the selection of weapons that would be on display. This is supposed to be the biggest pull, as actor Boyd Rankin (blacksmith Mikken from the first season of GoT) will be the one showcasing weaponry.

The fun doesn’t end there as visitors can also feast upon some delicious medieval delicacies such as roast hog and venison pie. Cider and ale will also be made available! So, all the diehard fans out there, save the date and get ready to feel the chills at Winterfell!
Ticket price: $29 (£22.50) for Adults, $13 (£10) for Kids (10 to 16 year old)
Free entry for kids below 10 years
