Planning to travel to the Northeast? Here’s a quick weather update

Rains in Northeast India in the last 48 hours have made weather conditions pleasant and suitable for those planning to travel to the region. Some of the states that have received this rainfall over the last two days are Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Mizoram. However, dry weather prevailed in the states of Nagaland and Tripura.

Travellers who are planning to visit one of these states must know that the intensity of rain in these place has reduced significantly over the last 24 hours, as it went from light to very light.

While rain in Dibrugarh was 9 mm in the last 24 hours, rainfall during the same period in other parts were 5 mm in Tezpur, 14 mm in Pasighat and just 2 mm in Guwahati.

But then, the reduction of rainfall is in no way bad news for travellers, as states like Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are still expected to continue receiving light rain and thundershowers.

Those planning a trip to Darjeeling and Sikkim must also know that the sub-Himalayan region in and around West Bengal are also expected to receive light rain and thundershowers.

However, temperatures in most of the states in the Northeast are expected to see an increase in the next 48 hours.
