Amitabh Bachchan tweets a warm invitation to tourists to visit Jodhpur’s Mehrangarh Fort

Amitabh Bachchan is a Bollywood superstar who is popular not only among film enthusiasts and fans but also travellers. Although we have known him as the iconic brand ambassador of Gujarat Tourism, the senior actor is yet again a reason for discussion among travellers, thanks to his recent tweet on Mehrangarh Fort, a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan.

AB’s tweet was about one of the most popular tourist places in Jodhpur, a fort which has always attracted travellers from all parts of the country, and the world to the blue city. It was an insightful tweet on an age-old tradition that has been followed in the fort for hundreds of years. According to customs, everyday at around 3:30 pm in the afternoon, numerous eagles are seen gathering over the roof of the fort just to feed on the meat that have been served there for the last 570 years. Feeding these eagles has been a tradition that have been followed by the royal family of Jodhpur for generations now.

With special focus on this tradition and a few photos to go with it, the actor’s tweet invited tourists to visit the Mehrangarh Fort.
