How do hologram illusions or hollusions appear on glass? What kind of illusions can an interplay of glass, paint and light create? What does a glass sculpture look like? How is glass made or recycled? To get answers to these questions or simply to have a fun afternoon, you must plan a visit to the Glass Museum. Learn about the basic chemistry of glass, the process of glass blowing and glass fusing, before moving on to the colorful application of glass in a three dimensional setting. This is where the museum gets interactive. Start posing, start clicking and start having fun while learning. Toward the end, the museum arranges a demonstration of glass making and you can create your own designs for souvenirs to be taken home!
Tips: The museum on Jalan Burma, a short walk from Komtar, Penang’s tallest landmark, remains closed on Sundays and public holidays.
