World Waterpark

Located in West Edmonton Mall, this indoor waterpark is the second largest in the world and boasts a temperature of 31 degrees Celsius inside all year round. It’s the perfect place to escape the cold winters of Edmonton and bask in the warm waters. There are plenty of waterslides to slide down here, as well as the famous Blue Thunder Wave Pool. A favourite of many, this wave pool operates the wave portion every ten minutes or so and many of the visitors race to the water in their yellow float tubes as soon as the air horn goes off warning swimmers the waves are starting. The play structure is popular among the littlest of splashers with slides, spray features, tipping buckets and more. One of the most interactive experiences is the slideboarding, where the slide is integrated into a video game and riders try to pass levels. There are plenty of scary waterslides for the older kids including corkscrew tunnel slides, tube slides, bowl slides and more. Although this isn’t the cheapest option for family fun with tickets being as much as $40 per person, it does promise to offer an entire day of fun filled water play.
