Fishing

Fishing is an integral part of the local culture and the primary source of livelihood for the locals. A trip to the Maldives wouldn’t be complete without catching and cooking your own fish. Most resorts offer night reef fishing trips, wherein you embark on a boat just before sunset to find a good spot near a reef. The crew guides you through the process – hook, line and sinker – and you can return to shore for a fabulous and fresh barbecue dinner.
