Federation Cliff Walk

The 5 km walking trail, Federation Cliff Walk starts from Watsons Bay to Dover Height that boasts of spectacular sandstone cliffs and wonderful panoramic views of the Tasman Sea. This cliff walk wanders through beautiful parklands and includes a timber walkway that brings you right on top of the cliffs. The walking track offers spectacular sea views at every step. Begin from Raleigh Reserve in Dover Heights to wander through parklands close to the edge of the cliffs that overlook the Pacific Ocean. Another two kilometres beyond the end of the walk, towards Watsons Bay, this walk offers more sublime views of the harbour. You can stop for fabulous seafood lunch at Robertson Park, beside the pub at Watsons Bay. Along the way, take a look at the Macquarie Lighthouse, spot the dramatic views of The Gap, and get a close look at the 80 m sandstone cliffs at Raleigh Reserve. This coastal walk is good way to enjoy the freshness of air and enjoy the open spaces of nature, away from the city yet so close. It’s a 20 minute drive from the heart of Sydney City.
