Simply put, Dubrovnik is awe-inspiring. Whether you are visiting for the first time or have been to this gorgeous city before, Dubrovnik never fails to impress. One can never have enough of the extremely beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque Churches all over the city. Rightly referred to as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic', Dubrovnik is a city in Southern Croatia and is situated on the Dalmatian Coast. A refreshing walk along the ancient city walls from the 16th century or on the marbled streets of the city, with the waters of the Adriatic Sea shimmering in the distance— nobody could ask for more! The streets are lined with restaurants offering different cuisines that add to a foodie’s delight. The city was shelled in 1991 but has managed to regain its glory to become a much favoured tourist spot on the world map. Visit the old stone buildings, pause to observe the play of light on the walls, get glimpses of Dubrovnik's history by visiting the museums, and take the cable car to Mt.Srd. When you are tired of walking and exploring, relax on the quiet beaches. Better still; go take a dip into the inviting waters of the Adriatic sea.
