Donald Trump’s travel expenses will surely let you forget math

American president Donald Trump is spending a moolah on his monthly travel, reveals a new analysis. The findings have been reported by a news website recently.
The statistics also answer the lingering question of several American taxpayers: how many times has Trump been to Mar-a-Lago since becoming president? The findings reveal that Trump has spent a whopping $6.6 million (INR 66 lakhs), thereby, making it clear he made several trips to the resort.

According to a report published in the Wall Street Journal, prior to July, Trump’s total travel expenses amount to $1.5 million (INR 15 lakhs) approximately, for a month, which is allegedly much more than the expenses of former US presidents.
It is also believed that the actual figure could be more than $1.5 million (INR 15 lakhs) as the Secret Service and Coast Guard Fees had not been added to it.

The data has been gathered from Judicial Watch’s analysis of Secret Service and Air Force papers. The report also says that the current US president was visiting his own properties for the first hundred days of his presidency.


Out of those hundred days, Trump spent 40 days visiting his Florida based Mar-a-Lago Palm Beach resort or the Winter White House, as President Trump likes to call it. The Wall Street Journal also reveals that Trump also spent around 20 days indulging in golf during his stay at Mar-a-Lago resort.

Reports have it that President Trump had taken several trips to his luxe Florida resort in a period of 10 weeks following his oath-taking ceremony. Obviously, these trips burnt a hole in the taxpayers’ pocket by $24 million (2.4 crore)!

In addition, an enormous sum was spent to “protect the First Lady and her son while they reside in Trump Tower” before they moved to the White House, as revealed by the New York Police Department.

President Trump and his family made another trip to the Mar-a-lago resort recently for Xmas celebrations.
