Bergen City Centre is the area where all food franchises, fine dining restaurants, local eateries, shopping complexes, pubs and bars, and fancy hotels are located. Not to mention that everything in Bergen City Centre is expensive as compared to the alley-like areas of Bergen. It’s a vivacious and a beautiful area, offering an awe-inspiring view of fjords from the far. A lot of events and street entertainments also keep happening here to keep the visitors engaged. One of the best monuments in Bergen, Sjøfartsmonumentet, is also located in city centre on Torgallmenningen Square. Sjøfartsmonumentet is a Norwegian word which means Sailor’s Monument or Maritime Monument in English. The monument is so beautiful and enchanting that it can never be missed by anyone who’s visiting the area. It has been made from bronze, consisting of 12 figures and reliefs, standing on a granite base. Don’t miss a picture with it! The best time of the day to visit Bergen City Centre is late evening so that you can get experience of nightlife as well.
