IRCTC’s special Panj Takht Express to connect five gurudwaras from Jan 14

The Indian Railways will be starting the Panj Takht Express from January 14, connecting all the five takhts of Sikhs. This will facilitate Sikh pilgrims in avoiding all the hassles of changing transportation modes and routes to pay tributes at all the five takhts.
Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, referring to this development, confirmed that that Centre has agreed to start this special tourist train from January 14, 2019, to connect the sacred five takhts of Sikh religion.

IRCTC will be running this special train, which will embark on its journey from Delhi, while taking the pilgrims to all the five takhts, including three in Punjab. It will be a 10-day journey. As per the latest developments, the Panj Takht Express will cover all the five temporal takhts—Sri Akal Takht at Amritsar-Punjab, Takht Keshgarh Sahib at Sri Anandpur Sahib-Punjab, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib at Bhatinda-Punjab, Takht Sri Patna Sahib at Patna-Bihar, and Takht Sri Hazur Sahib at Nanded-Maharashtra.
The latest reports state that this special tourist train will be a three-tier AC train and will have 800 seats. It will cost around INR 15,750 per person to take this trip, and the tour package will include three vegetarian meals, i.e., breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, the package will include nights stay, sightseeing and transfers, travel insurance, security on trains, among other things.
This special train announced on the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev is indeed great news for all those, who have always wanted to visit these sacred takhts to pay obeisance.
