Opened in 2014, the Beer Museum is located at the top of the old post office building on Markt Square, quite at the heart of the city. A modern establishment, the museum lets you navigate through information through text, audio and film in one of the many languages available. You simply have to raise the iPad to the exhibit and select the option—read, see or hear—and you’d be filled with facts and trivia right away; quite intuitive! An ultimate destination for beer lovers, the museum fills up visitors with everything they ever wanted to know about the history of beer. The third floor of the museum also lets you taste, smell and feel the grain, hops, yeast and spices which are set out for beer-making inside the foeders. The museum also puts on display various old brewing equipment. Walk up to the tasting room and get drinking some of the most amazingly brewed beers of the world! This museum is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, with an entrance fee of 8 EUR (roughly 10 USD).
