Located at 8900 48 Ave NW, this is a long time favourite among locals when it comes to playgrounds. Located smack dab in the middle of the ever popular Bowness Park, this playground and park recently underwent a major renovation after the flood of 2013 swept away much of the park. Now, it features a couple different climbers including a preschool climber complete with two ramps, a train structure, gazebo and slide. Older kids will love the catwalk, slides, small rock wall and stairs that make up the larger climber. Colourful climbers and recycled tire flooring make it perfect for kids of all ages. The saucer swings and Apollo spinner are always popular with the little ones. It’s easy to spend an afternoon here as the picnic tables that surround the park are perfect for picnic lunches, and nearby there is a river, lagoon and café.
