Yes, there exists a beautiful booktown in the gorgeous lanes of Wales in the UK. The pretty town is every bibliophile’s dream and is noted for its natural beauty. The town is home to over 20 bookstores. So let us take you inside Hay-on-Wye, also known as Hay.

This pretty market town is set in Powys, Wales. A historic county of Brecknockshire, the place has over twenty bookshops, and hence is often described as a town of books. It is also the National Book Town of Wales where the famous Hay Festival is held every year.
In 1841, the population of the town was only 1455 and till 2018, it only reached 1900. And this might be one of the reasons why Hay-on-Wye is named one of the best places to live in Wales in 2017.
