Boston-area designer and retailer Alan Bilzerian opened his first store the 1970s, and has been championing high fashion in Massachusetts ever since. His current boutique - a charming two-storey space on Newbury Street - stocks a tasteful range of apparel and accessories for men and women, with an emphasis on European labels like Alexander McQueen, Isabel Marant, and Lanvin. There are also pieces from Bilzerian's more casual in-house line.
Prices here are steep, but the vibe is relaxed and staff won't make you feel guilty for simply browsing. If you're in town in June or December, check the seasonal sale racks for deep discounts.
