Exploring the Atlantic – if you do have the kind of time and money to spare on going all out to dive, try snorkeling. No prior learning is required and you mostly stay at coast. Needless to say, some basic swimming skills (buoyancy) are quintessential to maneuver and navigate yourself. Shallow reefs and small school of fish can be spotted a Playas Del Coco, Isla del Cano, the Coco Islands, Cahuita, Manzanillo, and Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. This is usually a half day affair. One hygiene tip would be to buy your own snorkels which are easily available in shops. The tour companies do provide for snorkels but be aware that they get reused over the years. You may not want to put your mouth inside it how much every clean it appears to be.
