Nandi Hills
Popular for being the ancient hill fortress in southern India, it is located 60 km away from the city of Bengaluru. The hills nestled near the town of Nandi will surely make for an amazing aerial view. The evergreen patch of forest on top of the hill is also a favoured location for migrant species of flycatchers and warblers. Apart from the lush greenery, try to spot other favourites of this place from above, such as Tipu Sultan’s retreat, Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple and the rivers.
To start with, these places will be a part of your itinerary; hopefully, this initiative is welcomed by people and more tourist hotspots are added soon.
NARD is now gearing up to prepare heliports in Nandi Hills Road, Bidadi and Dommasandra. An NARD official also added that there are plans to launch heli-taxis in Kedarnath and Uttarakhand as well. It very aim is to promote all sorts of tourism, i.e, from adventure to religious.
