The one thing not to do when you go to Philadelphia is to keep everything planned. Many special parts of this city are in between prominent destinations, and are not destinations themselves. You can head to Head House Farmers Market, which opens every Sunday (10 amÂ2 pm). People gather here to sell delicious (though expensive) fresh produce in one of the most beautiful historic residential neighbourhoods in the city. You can take a walk down the treeÂlined Pine Street, full of some of the most beautiful colonial houses in the city. If you walk far enough, it’ll take you to Rittenhouse Square, the heart of downtown, a great place to windowÂshop or peopleÂwatch. Just lose yourself among the many small 300-year old alleys, small gardens, old temples and churches. Philadelphia has many secrets, some of them quieter than others. But whatever you do, please don’t on the tour of the Liberty Bell.
