This natural wetland is fed by the river Jhelum and acts as a natural flood control mechanism. Surrounded by lofty snow capped mountains and coniferous forests, it’s also a great spot for fishing enthusiasts. The lake accounts for 60 per cent of Kashmir’s fish produce.
