Panchmarhi, Madhya Pradesh’s only hill station, gets its name from these five ancient caves. According to Hindu mythology, they were used by the Pandava brothers and their wife Draupadi during their exile of 12 years. They are located in a low sandstone hill and surrounded by manicured lawns. The foundations of an ancient brick Buddhist stupa have also been excavated on top of the caves. After exploring the five caves, don’t forget to walk up to the top for spectacular viewsRefrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
