Pandav Caves

Panchmarhi, Madhya Pradesh’s only hill station, gets its name from these five ancient caves. According to Hindu mythology, they were used by the Pandava brothers and their wife Draupadi during their exile of 12 years. They are located in a low sandstone hill and surrounded by manicured lawns. The foundations of an ancient brick Buddhist stupa have also been excavated on top of the caves.
