Some call it Frisbee golf while some call it disc golf, but whatever you want to call it, Winnipeg is the perfect city to try this sport. There are a number of parks that boast courses for visitors to use for free. If you don’t know what this sport is, read on! Players use a disc or Frisbee that they throw from the tee off area towards a basket. The less number of throws it takes to get the disc into the basket, the better, and the person with the lowest number of throws at the end of the course wins! Happyland Park is one of the most popular 18-hole courses that caters to visitors of all ages, both young and old. A course message board with a map along with tee signs, chain baskets and score cards are all provided to players. Kilcona Park is another 18-hole course that boasts great views from every hole, making it one of the most beautiful courses in the city. If you want a bit of a challenge, head to Scurfield Park where instead of baskets you will find objects to hit, such as lamp posts and soccer goal posts. Just make sure to take out the print of the map online before you head here so that you know your way around.
