Word to the wise: This place isn't cheap. Come here as a last hurrah before you leave Venice.

One of six bars in this former flour mill-turned plush Hilton hotel on the Giudecca, the Skyline is the height of indulgence, literally: there are few better views of the city, across to San Marco and beyond, than from this spot on the hotel's rooftop.
Service is brisk, but don't feel you've got to rush through the cocktail list - you couldn't, anyhow, unless you'd just won the lottery. But one glass of wine and an hour with that view is worth every penny.
