Located in the Southern corner of Ixelles, well-to-do Place Brugmann and its surrounding streets are a great place to come for cosy cafes and small, high-end boutiques. The area's also worth a look for its architecture alone - filled with art nouveau and art deco one-offs, its pleasantly jumbled appearance is quietly quirky but still elegant.
Not necessarily the edgiest part of Brussels, this attractive district is still ideal for a lazy weekend wander, offering a local-feeling, well-scrubbed counterbalance to the bustle of central Brussels.
