According to reports, a catalogue will be circulated among passengers, from which they can choose what they want to buy when the cart circulates. The Indian Railways, however, has prohibited any loud promotional activity for the sale of such goods, so passengers will not be disturbed during their journey. The products will only be sold between 8 AM and 9 PM.
The Indian Railways had recently proposed on-board massage as well but was quick to withdraw it after questions were raised regarding the appropriateness of such a service. The proposal was withdrawn keeping in view the level of the normalcy of such services and whether it would cause any discomfort to women passengers.
