In the village of St Just, there is now an electric fence in front of the bar in Star Inn. This novel way of social distancing in an English pub has grabbed the attention of people around the world. The idea is to ensure that people follow social distancing norms, and keep safe. The landlord of the pub said in a statement that a mere rope would not have been as effective as an electric fence, and that is true.
One of the main things that has now changed is that people cannot spend too long inside a bar. So people cannot spend a long time sitting inside a bar, and chilling with friends. That is gone for now.
The fence is not live as yet, but according to the landlord of the pub, it keeps people away as no one wants to touch it and find out. You see an electric fence, and you immediately move away, hence keeping the bar safe and secure.
