Positioning itself as Hyderabad's only Cuban-themed pub, Cuba Libre has a smoking-cum-pool room, with posters of cigar-puffing macho men Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, and, obviously, there is a Cuban cigars section too. Its ladies nights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Thursdays, its also salsa nights when the decent-sized dance floor gets rocking, as ladies can learn salsa moves on the house. Signature cocktails include Chocolate Lovers Martini (vodka-based), Hemingway Special (white rum concoction), El Presidente (aged rum cocktail) and El Diablo (a tequila based drink). The Mojitos here are a knockout, and come in different flavours, like lychee, pear etc. The whisky, wine, beer, liqueurs and shooters (including the classic Cuba Libre, which is rum, freshly squeezed lime and cola) choices are fairly extensive. For mocktails, try Sunset Drive or Pain Killer.
The food menu has Cuban, Italian and Tex-Mex options. For finger foods, try Gambas a la Pancha, a spiced and grilled prawns with shells, Cuban speciality. Cuban Habanero Platter is a great option for vegetarians, with tacos, corn cheese balls, cocktail cheese sticks and croquettes. There is also a day menu with plenty of pastas, (try the Pollo Alla Craxi, a chicken pasta and the Baked Parmesan ones), tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas etc.
