You don’t need to be a guest to one of Venice’s most expensive hotels to take a drink in Bar Longhi, located in the sumptuous Gritti Palace. This is a bar whose elegance and views from its outdoor terrace can’t be easily beaten. Again, be prepared to pay quite a price for enjoying such an ambiance and great service in this expensive city; but the experience is unforgettable to say the least. Being surrounded with paintings by the 18th century Venetian artists, Murano glass chandeliers and a myriad of hues so conveniently fitted into the background is worth the expense, a single drink costs around 20 EUR.
