The area around Armitage Avenue and Halsted Street is a destination for lovers of women’s clothing, shoes, accessories and cosmetics. Check out big brands like BCBGMaxAzria, Cynthia Rowley and Intermix; independent stores like MOI Boutique, Second Time Around (for vintage designer clothing) and LILL Studio (for custom-made handbags); and jewelry from Helen Ficalora. Bargain hunters should visit Lori’s Designer Shoes.
Halsted has plenty to offer too: branches of bebe, Arden B, and Nine West; Fox’s cut-price designer clothes; the only Calvin Tran store outside New York; and a Barney’s CO-OP, filled with garments that are just as stylish but considerably more wallet-friendly than those at big brother Barney’s department store.
