A statue of late blues guitarist Steve Ray Vaughan is one of the must-see attractions along this picturesque and popular walking trail. A statue of late blues guitarist Steve Ray Vaughan is one of the must-see attractions along this picturesque and popular walking trail. Fresh flowers are usually resting in the statue's hands, left there by often-weeping fans. The statue can be found on Lady Bird Lake's south shore, near the South 1st bridge.
The full loop is 10 miles long and stretches from the Mopac expressway in West Austin to Longhorn Dam in East Austin. However, most of the activity occurs between Mopac and South Congress Avenue, a five mile loop.
