Part zoo, part hotel, part water park, part food court and part mall is how this large resort can be described. Essentially, what this means for families is that kids will never run out of things to do! On site, you will find parrots, penguins, flamingos and cranes to admire, along with a range of beach activities such as kayaking and snorkelling. But it is the pool complex that is perhaps the most impressive of all. The children’s area features a rope bridge and a 150-foot water slide, along with two free-form swimming pools with waterfalls and a bar for adults. There are five restaurants with many kid-friendly options. The large standard rooms are big enough to accommodate a rollaway bed for the wee ones. The weekly kids’ camp that is run here from 9 AM to 5 PM and then 5 PM to 10 PM is absolutely jam-packed with awesome activities, giving parents the break they need. Each day features a different theme and activities, and reservations can be made in advance. Imagine a resort where mom and dad can enjoy a night out for dinner, knowing their children are safely learning about Hawaiian culture and the stars—this resort does ‘family friendly’ the right way!
