Pristine white sand amidst casuarinas coupled with the serene beach makes Devbagh Beach Resort one of the best attractions near Karwar. At a distance of about 15 km from the city, the place is easily accessible via ferry which can be taken from the local jungle lodges resort office. The latter as an organization provides accommodation, assists in sightseeing and helps organize tours for a number of forest and wildlife reserves within the state of Karnataka. You can either opt for an accommodation within the resort or just visit it for a day excursion. Either way, it is an ideal getaway where you can relax on the beach—lazing on the hammocks, making sandcastles or collecting shells and crabs! If you are in the mood for some adventure then there are activities such as snorkelling, banana boat riding and parasailing. The view of the surrounding islands, the quaint villages and the endless sky is simply amazing. The cottages and log huts provided here are comfortable in case you opt for a stay else you can head back to Karwar taking the ferry.
