Most first time visitors to Bali are surprised to find that although Bali is a small island it is really diverse and each area is very different. There are so many different areas that will appeal to different types of people and Bali really does have something to offer everyone. Choosing where to stay in Bali could really make or break your holiday.To get the most out of your time in Bali it’s important to carefully consider the different areas of the island and pick the one that most suits you whether you want to be in the heart of all the action or a blissful escape from the crowds, perhaps you want to be close to all the trendiest bars, clubs, restaurants and shops, or maybe your into surfing or yoga, or just want to perfect family getaway—there’s an area of Bali to suit you.
Generally speaking the Kuta, Legian, Seminyak strip offers the biggest choice in accommodation, dining, shopping and nightlife scenes but it can also be crowded and noisy. Sanur beach is a good, quieter alternative, Ubud is a very popular and scenic inland resort that attracts yogis and spiritual seekers but if you really want to escape the crowds you’ll need to head to the Northern beaches.
