This is one of the coolest budget places in Gulmarg. Pine Palace is quite literally the melting pot of cultures. You will find travellers (skiers) from all over the world mingling over a round of drinks and some good music in the evenings. Food and service are quite good and the ambience of the place is very cool. Rooms are basic and clean, but don’t expect any kind of luxury at this place. Central heating and running hot water are available. However, central heating is switched on in the evenings and is on till the middle of the night and running hot water is available during mornings and evenings. If you’re looking for a slightly well-appointed room, choose the Pine Palace Platinum which has better quality rooms and is a 30-40 metres walk from Pine Palace Heritage. Do be prepared to shell out a little more money for rooms at the Platinum. Both properties are a stone’s throw away from the Gondola base station.
From the Pine Palace Heritage lounge, you get views of the Aphrawat range, the Gondola base station and the Gulmarg meadows. During summer months, the lush green gardens surrounding the property are a sight to behold and are perfect for relaxing walks and for sitting around the little stream.
