Unlike many of the other Hemingway bars in the city, such as the famous La Bodeguita del Medio with its high prices, poor cocktails and terrible service, Dos Hermanos has escaped being turned into a tourist trap. Rather, it's friendly and classic with wood paneling and large windows, and, while you’ll get the occasional tourist or itinerant band of singers, on the whole you can have a Hemingway moment – mojito, cigarette and a notepad – all to yourself.
