The cheapest mojitos in town

Word to the wise: Come on Sunday (4pm – 8pm) for free dance classes on the patio.

The small outdoor terrace here is always packed, which is no surprise when the cocktails cost just CUF 10 (CUC 0.50). The only difference with the mojitos you pay CUC 3 for in Havana Vieja is that these don’t use Havana Club, but they’re still delicious and naturally plentiful.

The grand old white building is the Centro Balear de Cuba - representing the Balearic community here - which also has outposts in Majorca and Ibiza. Treasurer Jose Antonio is usually on hand to share a drink and a tale with you, and speaks good English if you’re feeling a little lost.
