Word to the wise: Keep your valuables out of reach - pickpockets love crowded markets.
You'll find anything and everything at this sprawling outdoor market, otherwise known as Mercat Fira de Bellcaire. It gets hot, crowded and noisy, with more than 500 traders trying to entice you to their stalls with shouts of 'Barato!' (cheap).

If you’re prepared to forage, you may well turn up a treasure among the piles of colourful bric-a-brac, old coins, electronics, clothes and more. Though if you're a real bargain-hunter, it pays to get there early - the traders set up at dawn - and many of them wrap up at 3pm.
