Wawee Coffee

One of the biggest chains in Chiang Mai, you will quickly notice spotting Wawee Coffee’s orange and brown signs throughout town. The cafe uses beans grown and roasted in northern Thailand by some of the country’s remote hill tribes and offers a range of roasts, from light to dark, as well as both drip coffee and espresso drinks. Since Thailand is perfectly situated in the tropical “bean belt”, similar to places like Ecuador or Colombia, its mountains are perfect for growing Arabica beans. Do you like what they’re serving? The branch on the west side of the river along Praisanee Road across from the city’s largest flower market has a ton of seating and a free parking lot for those eating at the cafe, while the branch on the east side of the river on Charoenrat Road, close to the popular Riverside Bar & Restaurant, boasts outdoor deck seating along the peaceful river.
