One wouldn’t necessarily think that a restaurant inside a bookstore would be the best setting for families but indeed Prairie Ink surprises everyone who comes to dine here. The Winnipeg location is extremely popular for lunch, loaded with guests of all ages and normally loud. Kids will love dining in a gallery setting where they can check out local art and books while they wait for there delicious food. A kid’s menu is offered here at a reasonable price and includes an entre, fruit salad and beverage. But it is really the dessert that stands out here. Kids will be eager to head to the dessert display where they can choose from a wide array of cakes and pies to bread puddings, laden with cream and ice-cream. The restaurant runs special events throughout the year involving parents and children, including Mother and Daughter Storytime Tea and Teddy Bear Picnic Day. With myriad tables, lots of noise and an excellent variety of dishes, this is the perfect family restaurant in Winnipeg.
