A popular restaurant for relishing delectable dishes from the southern part of India, Jyoti Vihar is no less than a legend in this domain. A haven for vegetarians, the restaurant is one of the oldest and well-known restaurants in the city that offers south Indian fare. Do not be taken aback by the interiors of this place as it’s quite simple and basic, but the food is just great. The traditional masala dosa and idli with sambar and chutney remain all time favourite. You must try dahi vada, milk upma and medu vada as these are quite popular among regulars. Ghee paper butter sada dosa and onion uttapam also keep making their way to the tables from the kitchen. Besides these, there are specials too like curd rice with pickle and vegetable fried rice with pachadi. Do not forget to try the refreshing filter coffee here as it’s simply awesome. Light on the pocket and high on taste, Jyoti Vihar has emerged as one of the popular south Indian restaurants over the years.
