Set in a cast-iron Victorian structure that was shipped over from Glasgow in 1894, Singapore's oldest hawker centre is looking a little dated, but the grub is still just as good. Feast on dishes from steamed cockles to mie goreng fried noodles, or drop by of an evening when satay stalls pop up to satisfy pre-dinner cravings.
It's best to visit on a weekday, when all the vendors are open and the centre is buzzing with hungry workers.
