This is a great restaurant in Cala Gonone, on the east coast of Sardinia, specialised in fish and seafood dishes. Il Pescatore overlooks the port of Cala Gonone, and offers incredibly tasty dishes cooked to perfection. The menu varies on a daily basis, and so your choice of food should ideally be based on the daily catch. The mixed appetizers include serving 10 different appetizers, among which are marinated herring, a shrimp salad, and mussels in a marinara sauce. There is a large selection of pasta dishes, but the linguine allo scoglio (linguine pasta with a sauce made of fresh tomatoes, garlic, parsley and mixed seafood such as, langostines, shrimps, mussles, clams and calamari) is to kill for. There is an excellent selection of wines as well. prices are a bit above the regional average, but completely worth it.
